Water Cooled Transformer 500kva
This transformer is a large frame “Heavy Duty” transformer.
The transformer is a 500kva four tapping, machine, single wound type water-cooled transformer enclosed in a zinc plated / galvanized steel box with full resin encapsulation.
The transformer has water-cooling channels fitted into all four cast secondary windings. The water-cooling channels are 10mm diameter copper pipes fitted within the cast secondary. The cooling flow through this transformer should be a minimum of 40 liters per minute.The cast HC copper secondary has an approximate cross-sectional area of 1280sqmm. The transformer has four secondary castings giving a total cross section of 5120sqmm.
A brass adaptor manifold will be supplied with the transformer – to be drilled by customer to suit their application.
The transformer is wound with the center winding assembly, approximately 225mm square, being used as the 525volt 500kva, for over temperature heat sensing the transformer has four x 80Degree embedded thermostat sensor units. The thermostats are placed on the secondary/primary winding center assembly, one on the lower center assembly and the second on the upper center assembly.
C-Core fluxing area on this transformer is 36000sqmm per C-Core Pack. There are 2 x C-Core packs in place.
Size of transformer is approximately 430mm x 616mm x 761mm in size and the estimated weight is 920kg
